TIME HAS COME FOR ALL It’s a history in folding in South Africa, the attack of women and children. This is more than apartheid regime and should not be tolerated. According to the research, one in every ten women is being raped and/or killed every six minutes in South Africa by someone known or unknown. Women become the center for criminals and of the charges laid are unsuccessful. We as the organisation, we believe that the time to liberate women and children has come. We believe that women and children form a majority of this country and we say their violence experiences should end. We stand to witness that, it is not how women are being perceived for them to face such challenges or their ability and strength to achieve for them to be murdered. Women and young people has played a major role in the liberation of this country from apartheid era and are determined to contribute in their liberation in the oppression by men, by one another and other unnatural forces that are anti-women. It is not the fault of women that most men feel threatened by new developments that seek to empower women and children towards liberty life. As the organisation, we say, if you are a man, and such changes threaten you, South Africa is not a place for your stay. If you are a man, who call yourself a leader, but feel threatened by rising of women to power, South Africa is not a place for your stay. If you are a man and a woman, who still undermine the contribution made by women in laying a solid foundation towards building our rainbow nation, South Africa is not a place for your stay. If you still believe that the state of women in poverty and being the poor of the poorest in being so unfortunate, and that woman is a witch-craft, South Africa is not a place for your stay. If you are a men whom when you look to a woman, and relate woman to a sex object, South Africa is not a place for your stay. If you are a rapist, a murder, an oppressor for women and children’s liberty, a champion of undermining the potential they have in building our nation, South Africa is not for your stay. The time has come where women rise into power by unity. Women, today come together in witnessing and speaking out about their experiences in majority. Most women contributed for a change in economy, health, education and so forth in this country but their efforts are still imaginalised. There never been any gender experienced such hardship in our human history than what is being faced by women and young girls in particular. The rising forces of abuse and domestic violence to women still indicate that there is huge gap between women and men in this country. We are now standing in unity, forcing men and all sources of violence to end. We believe that this is long overdue as men don’t need to respect women only when they are financial independent as providers and scared of losing them. There is a lot men can learn from women. A man who respects a woman, he only does so because there is a solid foundation laid. We ask the South African President, President Jacob Zuma, to declare rape, domestic violence, killing of innocent women and children including all forms of abuse towards women and children as the state of emergency before it escalates like HIV and AIDS in South Africa history. This is long overdue and will make sure that this call receives an urgent attention to all corners of the earth. The abuse and violence against women and children undermine a long walk to freedom whom Dr Nelson Mandela and many other leaders fort for. This also undermine the potential this country has in ensuring that there is equality and equal opportunities between men and women. Assaults based on women and children must be burn in South Africa including all forms of violence that needs to be abolished as they have no place in our democracy. We would like, in particular, to express our gratitude to all women who died fighting for the liberty of this country and helped in improving lives of our people in South Africa, Southern Africa, Africa and the continent at large. Their contribution has helped in improving lives of fortunate women in South Africa even though the majority is still oppressed and living below the poverty line especially in deep rural areas. Without them, all the efforts of the gender balance in this country would never be realized and women will be imaginalised in majority. Through the sacrifice of everything that could be a pleasure to them, this has made the organisation and many women out there to realize all the journey we walked together in improving lives of women and children, will reap a reward one day. Join hands in fight for the rights of women and children as they have rights to human dignity.
